How to check where your cargo is

We report progress to you first. Use this page when you want to look for yourself.

01

Step 1

First, which number do you have

When a lookup returns nothing, it is usually not a typo. That number was never going to resolve there.

House B/L

Issued by
Issued by the forwarder (us)
Format
Forwarder code + serial
Where it works
Will not resolve on a carrier's site

The most common point of confusion. A forwarder-issued number does not exist in the carrier's system.

Master B/L

Issued by
Issued by the carrier
Format
4-letter carrier code + digits
Where it works
The carrier's own site

Vessel schedule and container movement are tracked with this number.

Container number

Issued by
Assigned by the container owner
Format
4 letters + 7 digits (e.g. ABCU1234567)
Where it works
Carrier site · terminal

The last digit is a check digit. One wrong character and the lookup fails.

We have not listed carrier links. The carrier is named on your B/L, and their tracking pages move often enough that a stale link would send you the wrong way.
